A career development program offers comprehensive assistance in securing and maintaining employment. Practical workshops provide training in job preparation skills, including resume writing and successful workplace attitudes and behaviors. In addition to job preparation workshops, participants receive individual career counseling and long-term follow-up through the job search process. Voice mailboxes are available to job seekers who don’t have phones.

Vocational training is offered in an intensive skills-based program designed to help students succeed in their field of study. A 20-week certificate program in food preparation and cooking school operated is offered in conjunction with the Syracuse City School District.

Vocational work experience is a structured volunteer work program offered to those in Onondaga County’s JobsPlus welfare-to-work program. It parallels real work environments by teaching appropriate workplace behaviors, attitudes and skills. Vocational training is offered in a variety of work settings.
