Welcome Pack
How easy it is to take a bar of soap or a toothbrush for granted. But many of the people who come to the Rescue Mission don't have these and other essentials for daily living.

That's why we provide toiletries--in addition to a clean bed and nutritious meal. It goes a long way toward showing how much we care. After all, we know it's the little things that make any of us feel welcome and at home. Think how much more that can mean to someone who is homeless.

We always have a need for personal care items to give to those we serve. That is why we ask your help in assembling what we call Welcome Packs.

Each Welcome Pack is a sealable clear
bag containing the following items:
Care Pack
  • Soap
  • Toothbrush and holder
  • Toothpaste
  • Men's deodorant
  • Shampoo
  • Men's shaver and shaving cream
  • Hand lotion
You or your family, co-workers, church or club can make one or more Welcome Packs or your group can collect certain items on this list and we'll assemble the packs.

For that personal touch, print Welcome Pack labels, enter your name or that of your group on one of the labels and place it in the Welcome Pack. The man who receives the Welcome Pack will know who cared.

Welcome Packs can be brought down to the Rescue Mission reception area, located on the first floor of 155 Gifford Street, Syracuse, any Monday through Friday between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. If you have any questions about Welcome Packs, call 315-701-3891.

Thank you for helping us say welcome!
